One of MMRC’s key project objective is to ensure world class commuter services while sustainably servicing the project debt. In September 2018, MMRCL appointed a consortium of Auctus Advisors and StudioPOD Design to identify non-fare box revenue opportunities. The opportunities identified include:

(i) For 8 sites along the alignment covering a total site area of 7.8 ha, concept architectural plans employing TOD design principles were prepared.

(ii) At metro stations, considering the movement of commuters and evacuation requirements, locations for retail stores, kiosks and advertisements were identified including their infrastructure requirements.

(iii) At select stations where additional space was available, the layouts of the station were modified to maximise their commercial potential while ensuring the smooth and safe movement of passengers

(iv) Draft bid documents for all identified NFBR sources were prepared and for Station Naming Rights, In-station Retail and In-Station Advertising, the bid process was carried out.
